This device can help the microsurgical team accurately isolate the specific neurological cells targeted for deep brain stimulator (DBS) implantation. Accurate DBS placement is a critical factor in achieving both short and long term treatment of movement disorders. MicroGuideTM is a modular multi-channel FDA approved system for neurosurgery. The MicroGuideTM presents a comprising breakthrough for Micro electrode recording and stimulation, used for optimal target localization for the treatment of movement disorders in Parkinson disease during DBS Implantation, Pallidotomy, Thalamotomy and other similar neurosurgical procedures. The system provides all electrophysiological instrumentation for single unit recording. FDA Approved Microdrive :- The Alpha Omega Alpha Drive is an accurate electrodes navigation system for neurosurgery. The vertical movement; in the Z plane, could be controlled in one of three optional operational modes: Manual mode. 2) Computer controlled mode 3) Manual / Computer controlled mode. In the Manual mode the accuracy of the vertical movement is in the range of tenths of mm, whereas in the computer-controlled mode it is in the range of microns.
