GlobalTop PA6E GPS module offers the best of both worlds in terms of antenna support. It comes standardly equipped with pre-tuned ceramic patch antenna for easy integration, but in addition, it has an additional I/O interface for external antenna with short circuit protection. Also, PA6E has the ability to automatically switch between internal patch antenna and external GPS antenna upon detection.
The unique combination of a small foot print GPS module with integrated antenna made PA6 family one of the most important corner stone in GlobalTop Technology’s product line up and its popularity soaring among the GPS designer community. PA6 family is based on the latest MediaTek GPS chipset, MT3329, featuring unparalleled performance in sensitivity and functionality, and comes with assortment of firmware customization features offered directly by GlobalTop: including "Gtop Binary Protocol", "One Sentence Customization", "Power Periodic Mode" and "AGPS, DGPS Support".
